Owning your childhood poster car
As kids, we all had a poster car. The car that’s stuck to your bedroom wall with pride and is always looked upon as
something ‘that I’ll certainly own one day.’

Car and Driver technical editor Aaron Robinson talks about how he came about purchasing his childhood fantasy – A Lamborghini Espada. Probably not the most well-known Lamborghini, but still in it’s own right, a fiery Italian V12 powered sports car.
The quirks, the costs, the reality of purchasing an old sports car. It’s all in this clip. Check it out!
The End Of An Era – Sergio Pininfarina Passes Away

The third of July was a sad day for all motoring enthusiasts, and even designers around the world. Sergio Pininfarina, born in 1926, lived until the ripe age of 85. During his years, he’s been accredited to masterpieces such as the Ferrari F40, Bentley Azure and even the more affordable, Peugeot 406 Coupe.

He was also the man behind Ferrari’s choice to produce midship vehicles (engines mounted in the middle of the car), persuading Enzo Ferrari that it would be the way to go to create a balanced sports car. Following this decision, the Ferrari Dino was born.

There will probably never be another designer to pen such awesome cars. With the changes in safety, car design and ergonomics, the golden era of beautiful sweeping sports car designs has sadly come to an end. So, here are a few of his designs to refresh our memory on what a car should look like.
All designed by Sergio, of course.

Why we drive, what we drive.

As fellow enthusiasts already know, there is always a car which concretes itself in your childhood. Generally speaking, these cars are unattainable at the time due to a plethora of reasons; with the number one generally being cost.
So what happens when we can finally live these dreams, when our childhood favorites become ‘old metal’?

We purchase them. That’s what we do. We’ll that’s at least what Chris Harris has done.

We all know Chris and his colorful personality through Autocar, Evo Magazine and now his latest online endeavor, ‘Chris Harris On Cars’. With his excellent driver feedback and high overall understanding of an automobile, he takes us through why his 1986 BMW M5 is his piece of ‘old metal’
Pump the speakers and have a listen to that Bavarian straight six sit just shy of redline.
p.s And before you ask, the clip does contain opposite lock shenanigans.

When stance and low becomes more then just a trend and it becomes a life style. Naturally every other aspect follows accordingly.
Mark Webber

Have you ever wonder what Mark Webber is like when his not been given team orders and told to stop racing and just follow his team mate Sebastian Vettel around the track?I have always wondered if all those year of living and racing away from his birth place would have an effect on him, like would he be more of tea drinking Englishman instead of VB beer drinking , sausage on the barbie , thong (flip flops) wearing Aussie.
Its safe to say that he is still a full blown bloody Aussie. ( more on this below )
