Veloster Turbo – We Can't Wait!

Hyundai’s Veloster
turbo is a car that has been highly anticipated since the release of the naturally aspriated version.

Retaining most of the quirky design ques including the ‘one door on one side, two doors on the other’ feature, the European styling has been beefed up for the turbo model. A sports skirting kit, rear diffuser and more aggressive wheel arches help set the Turbo model apart from it’s atmo brother.

Under the hood you’ll find the same direct injected 1.6 litre ‘Gamma’ engine as the regular Veloster. The turbocharger is tucked against the firewall helping the engine bay to retain a clean and simple look. Power is expected to be around the 145kW mark, which is plentiful for a small, nimble hot hatch.
The road tests seem promising already, we can’t wait to get our hands on one!
Forza Horizon trailer released!
Forza Horizon is a title which was has been highly anticipated by the gaming community since the launch of Forza 4. At this years E3 entertainment Expo, the official trailer was released for the masses to drool over.
With the use of their stunning graphics engine, the guys over at Turn 10 and Microsoft have developed a ‘free roam’ driving simulator which puts the spotlight on speed, style and the freedom of the open road.

Combining stunning physics and cutting-edge music with legendary Forza authenticity and a superb collection of cars to drive, Forza Horizon is an open-world automotive playground. Being able to control where, when and who you race by cruising the streets and darting through traffic certainly gives the game a unique feel of play.

We’re certainly looking forward to getting our hands on a copy to see what all the fuss is about!

Forza Horizon is set to be released on the 23rd of October 2012. Make sure you pre-order your copy ASAP!

Don’t Buy FAKE!
by Driftworks
We bought a fake Nardi ‘style’ steering wheel off eBay to see just how bad, dangerous and rubbish they are! This applies to all fake steering wheels including fake Personal wheels, OMP, Sparco, Momo etc!

I got an invite from Yokohama to attend one of their tyre test days. Preliminary for their dealer network but they had room for more and I was more than happy to check it out.

MotoIQ’s Ultimate Guide to Suspension and Handling
My personal project AW11 MR2 track hack is getting closer and closer to completion. The light at the end of the tunnel is definitely getting brighter.
The car starts , turns , and sort of brakes. So with most of it done , I’m starting to think about setting it up for some proper fun. Looking through my daily blog list I found an interesting and fresh 6 part series on suspension tuning written by Mike Kojima over at Moto IQ.
Proper Drift ute .
We’ve all seen the hacked up s13 Frankenstein drift utes. I’ve never really liked them , but this , this is cool.

It’s all about aero!
Andrew Brilliant is an American aero and data engineer that resides in Japan and contracts to Super GT teams. He has worked in both Indy-car and American Le Mans series and whilst there are a few people around with the high level of knowledge that Andrew possesses, most are working in high level positions in highly funded professional race teams and would not give us the time of day.
